About Neurodiversity Works

At Neurodiversity Works, our mission is to empower individuals with diverse neuro-variations, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, to achieve meaningful careers and sustainable wages in the rapidly expanding drone and analytics industry. We are dedicated to fostering inclusivity and innovation by actively advocating for neurodivergent talent through a range of comprehensive programs and initiatives

As the drone industry undergoes unprecedented growth, it is crucial to embrace diverse perspectives, particularly from neurodivergent individuals who bring unique and valuable ways of thinking. Yet, the journey to professional success for these individuals remains challenging for many. Despite the potential for groundbreaking contributions to innovation-driven fields like the drone sector, societal and professional barriers remain pervasive.

The statistics are stark: 40% of neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism, face unemployment—three times higher than the broader disability community. Even with higher education, 85% of autistic college graduates are not employed. Additionally, only 4% of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) efforts prioritize disability, despite neurodivergent individuals representing an estimated 20-30% of the population.

At Neurodiversity Works, we are committed to changing these narratives, driving progress, and creating a future where neurodivergent talents thrive and shape the industries of tomorrow.

Statistics

40-percent graphic

A staggering 40% of neurodivergent adults, encompassing those with ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, and more, are unemployed—a rate threefold compared to the general disability population.

85-percent graphic

Despite education, 85% of autistic college graduates find themselves without employment.

4-percent graphic

Only a meager 4% of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives include disability as a focal point, even though neurodivergent individuals comprise an estimated 20-30% of the population.

Although there has been a considerable improvement in  understanding and acknowledgment of neurodiversity, persistent stigmas and barriers continue to hinder professional advancement for our community. Recognized for high levels of creativity, innovation, problem-solving capabilities, and focus, neurodivergent people can face challenges in standard workplace practices, leadership roles, and social scenarios due to prevailing misconceptions and social norms.

In the booming drone industry, there's not just an opportunity but a necessity to harness the capabilities of neurodivergent individuals. By consciously integrating us into the workforce, the industry could not only drive innovative developments but also play a significant role in dismantling discrimination and mitigating the disproportionately high unemployment rates among this remarkably qualified demographic. Engaging neurodiversity could indeed be a strategic move towards achieving sustained growth and innovation in the industry while promoting a genuinely inclusive work environment.
